Welcome to B.W. Furlong & Associates! What to expect when you come to the clinic will vary depending on why your horse is being evaluated. The following information will help to prepare you for your visit to the clinic, whether it is your first or one of many visits.
When you arrive for an appointment of any nature, please pull your trailer up to the green gate, stop, and visit the front desk in the clinic to check in. If you have an emergency and you feel your horse cannot wait for you to check in, please alert the front desk of this and they will page a technician and/or veterinarian. We will help you immediately drive through the gate to unload your horse prior to checking in.
A slip of paper with information about your appointment will be handed to you by the receptionist. At this time, you may pull into the parking lot. Please press the button in the gray box on the driver’s side and the gate will open towards your vehicle. After passing through the gate, pull around as far as possible, as other vehicles will likely enter during your visit.
Please present the slip of paper to a veterinary technician in the barn prior to unloading your horse. A staff member will help you take your horse to a stall or if the clinic is very busy, you may be asked to kindly keep your horse on the trailer.
For emergencies during non-business hours, you may open the green gate and pull through to the barn without stopping at the front desk. Please check in at the barn prior to unloading if a technician or veterinarian has not already come outside.
